The Drive Home: Driving Forward

The Drive Home series is a collaboration between America’s Automotive Trust and the North American International Auto Show and it is designed to showcase the importance of our automotive heritage and its relationship to the car culture of today.

We are committed to The Drive Home “Driving Forward” this fall, so we are cautiously moving forward with planning while we continue to closely monitor the evolving situation and government directed closures related to COVID-19. The health and safety of The Drive Home crew and participants is our top priority, so we will be including procedures for social distancing and increased sanitation.

As our country begins the healing process, we believe that The Drive Home “Driving Forward” can be a beacon of hope, provide a sense of calm and normalcy in what has otherwise been a very uncertain time and offer enthusiasts an opportunity for enjoyment. We also see The Drive Home “Driving Forward” as an opportunity to highlight the way our automotive community comes together in times of need to support our neighbors and it is our plan to spotlight medical professionals, first responders and others who have stepped up during this crisis as we make our way across the country.

As we shift the focus of The Drive Home for 2020 to “Driving Forward”, it is our intention to take The Drive Home: Great American Family Road Trip in 2021 in the days leading up to the world’s premier international auto show, NAIAS.

Please check back regularly for more information as we navigate the next steps for The Drive Home “Driving Forward” in the coming weeks.
